Dear colleagues,

   It is my great honor and pleasure to announce that the 17th International Conference on Electrical Machines and Systems (ICEMS2014) organized by Zhejiang University will be held in Hangzhou, China on October 22-25, 2014.

   The Conference will provide a forum for researchers, professionals and engineers from all over the world to present their latest research and development results, and to exchange information and experiences in the fields of electrical machines and systems, such as machines topologies, design, modeling, analysis, control, manufacture, testing, applications, maintenance, standards and education.

   The ICEMS2014 is sponsored by China Electrotechnical Society (CES), co-sponsored by Institute of Electrical Engineers of Japan - Industry Applications Society (IEEJ-IAS), Korea Institute of Electrical Engineers (KIEE) and Natural Science Foundation of China (NSFC), and also technically co-sponsored by the IEEE Industry Applications Society (IEEE-IAS).

   We sincerely invite you to submit papers to and participate in the ICEMS2014. All presented papers will be included in the IEEExplore database. Selected papers will be recommended to SCI or EI-indexed journals.

   Hangzhou has enjoyed a prosperous history of over 2,200 years. It is one of the most famous tourist cities in China, with its natural beauties and historical and cultural heritages. It is also famous for good-quality silk products and tasty Chinese food.

   We are looking forward to seeing you in Hangzhou in October, 2014. We believe that you will enjoy the technical activities of ICEMS2014, as well as your stay in this elegant city.
